Ingredients Homemade Loaf Bread





1 packet instant yeast

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

2 tsp sugar

1/2 tsp salt

neutral oil

1 1/2 cups warm water

2 Tbsp neutral oil














Let's Cook!



  • Preheat oven to 400°F

  • In a large mixing bowl add 1 1/2 cup of flour, instant yeast,salt, and sugar.

  • Whisk the dry ingredients to ensure they are well distributed evenly.

  • Pour in the oil and warm water and mix until combined. (dough will be sticky)

  • * make sure the water temperature is between 120° F- 130°F if hotter than that it will kill the yeast.


  • Add the remaining flour in increments until the dough is no longer sticky.

  • Knead for about 5 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic.

  • Place the dough back into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap and let rise until double in size. About 1/2 hour to an hour.



  • Punch it down and roll the dough long enough to fill the well oiled loaf pan. Twist the and place it in the loaf pan to rise until the dough has reached the rim of the pan.

  • Brush the top of the dough with egg wash and bake at 400°F for 40 minutes.
