Cherry Cream Cheese Pie

Updated: Jan 25, 2023

This was the first dessert I learned to make at 16 years old from my neighbor Theresa. I have added lemon zest to my recipe but it is so quick and easy. It can be no-bake but, Theresa taught me to bake it in the oven just till it firms up. I actually like it warm. Either way, it is rich, creamy, and decadent. You can use cherries, blueberries, or whatever your favorite fruit filling is to keep friends and family coming back for more.

What is a no bake cheese cake pie ? This a simple silky decadent pie that requires no oven unless you choose to set the pie of faster. No eggs involved at all. You can actually mix all the ingredients together and a rich smooth consistency, pour it in the pie crust and place it in the fridge to set and it ready to serve.

Storing Tip

No bake cheesecake can be stored in the fridge up to 5 days. You can wrap it in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil it will keep in the freezer for at least 3 months. Thaw it out in the refrigerator, slice and serve.

Ingredients Cherry Cream Cheese Pie

  • Cream Cheese- Philadelphia's original cream cheese is the cream cheese of choice. I find it gives the best taste.

  • Lemon juice- Fresh is best, just a splash of lemon juice gives the pie a nice tartness.

  • Lemon zest- adding lemon zest gives the pie a little tang but not overly lemony.

  • Vanilla extract-that extra boost of flavor is always needed

  • Graham cracker crust-I used pre-made graham cracker crust, but you can totally do homemade. It's a quick and easy recipe with graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar

  • Cherry pie filling- I was taught this dish using cherry pie filling. Choose your favorite to top. I have used this recipe using chocolate chips, orange zest, and melted chocolate swirled into tarts.

Let's Cook!

  • Place softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl and add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract.

  • Mix the ingredients using a fork.

  • Pour in the sweetened condensed milk.

  • Mix until creamy and smooth. You can use an electric mixer or by hand.

  • Pour the cream into the graham cracker crust.

  • you can place it in the refrigerator to firm for several hours, or in the oven until firm. (About 20-30 minutes)

  • Spread your favorite pie filling and serve.

Bon Appetit, Enjoy!
